it's hollywood, it's entertaining. kind of like the walking dead, some guy will kill a walker from 300 yards while throwing a screwdriver, but will miss a guy with a gun at 30 yards on full automatic.
remember saving pvt ryan? when mellish gets stabbed with his own bayonet? some people in the comments were talking how they would have stabbed the german soldier in the leg or stomach. but like I pointed out, the reason he didnt was because that's how the script was written.
Hollywood isnt documentaries and even documentaries dont get it wright 100% most of the time.
