St Louis Blues, revisited
« on: November 14, 2020, 07:04:11 AM »
hanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin. I also skinned this scheme on the old P-38J shape last year, as an update of Knite's 2012 version.

"St Louis Blues" was the P-38J of Lt. Eugene Sommerich of the 18th Fighter Group, 12 Fighter Squadron who were based at Zamboanga airfield in the Philippines in 1945.

For comparison, this is my skin of the same aircraft on the old shape:-

Thank you for another PJ. This looks great.

It is unfortunate that so much 38 work was done at the end of the last gen 38. I think they should alert the skinner team when an updated model is coming so all that work is not wasted.

Very nice!!
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Really amazing work, some of the finest in the game! Thank you for outstanding contributions!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Very nice Greebo - great to see the checkerboard cover the whole radiator housing without any stretching.  The mteal work is especially impressive in the rear quarter screenshot.
