But you cursing and chastizing the Bishops constantly made it very unenjoyable.
Thanks Thunder, I came on these boards just now thinking along similar lines. I don't know if you are referring to the goon incident yesterday, or if this is a regular occurrence, but I have to say his attitude towards me was nothing short of disgusting - in fact, one of my squad mates ended up logging solely because of him.
I admit to being fairly new to Aces High, and having 'grown up' with Air Warrior for the last three years, some things are taking some getting used to. One aspect is the capturing of airfields, which is something I only recently started attempting as my confidence has grown... I am used to simply flying over a field at just over 500 feet and dropping the troops, with a field being captured as they touch down. I realise it works differently here, in that they have to get to the maproom before the capture happens, so that landing the goon is the preferred method. Unfortunately, I am not yet fully familiar with the layout of all the fields. Although I do have maps of them all, I still find it difficult to know exactly where I am on a field when I am on the ground - being able to zoom right in on the map, as we can in Air Warrior, would help enormously! As I remember as I landed yesterday (I had to overfly the field first due to being too fast at first, and was not lined up properly when I came around) the field was fairly active as enemy aircraft attempted to take off, so I obviously wanted to avoid them, and kept well away when I kicked out the troops. Apparently I was not near enough to the maproom and they didn't all make it.
OK, I felt bad that my capture attempt had failed - but similar happens in Air Warrior on a very regular basis, so I am used to not always being successful. Yes it can be frustrating, but in the end it is just a game! So what is the point of getting all hot and bothered because of one failed capture attempt?
Any confidence I had built up recently has just got completely blown out of the window by this guy.
Cheers Gunman26! I can honestly say in my three years of flying AW and now AH I have never come across anyone as obnoxious as you - attacking players who are on your own side! Believe me, I have seen people ranting in AW... I was one of the volunteer staff there, so monitoring the radio channels was a requirement, but never did I see anything like your behaviour towards me! It was absolutely deplorable!
