I can't get past the splash screen with Oculus Rift S or Quest 2

I've run two different Acer Helios 300 laptops with a Rift S and Quest 2 and I can't get past the Aces High 3 splash screen.  All other VR titles work fine, but it hangs on Aces High 3 log in splash screen.  Music, and no further.  Any ideas?  No messages on the screen, the machines run other games in VR no issues, just hangs with Aces high 3.

What are the specs of the machines?

Are you running through steam or the main site?

Take the headset off and look for the AH dialog that asks if you want to run in VR.

taken the headset off, no dialogue box, both a good spec gaming machines, run oculus apps well, no problems.  I ran aces high on one before, I've done several updates since then, won't load past the loading splash screen now.  VR is not disabled, rift s, and the quest 2 with a quest link cable won't do it.

Are you running the Oculus version of AH?

How does well does AH run now without VR?

Runs the non oculus version fine, and when I start with the oculus and it asks if I want to use the oculus and I say yes, it doesn't get past the loading point.  I think I'm going to start looking at the third party drivers, and see if there's something that's out of date and hanging up, since it worked previously (several windows and aces high updates ago).

I've never had any luck running the oculus version. I just run the DX11 version and peak under the headset, click yes on the dialog box that pops up on the monitor asking if I want to use my Oculus headset. As I also have Open composite VR installed, if I click no it'll then ask if I want to use my OVR headset. If I click no to both it starts the game on the monitor.

It doesn't matter if I start the game from the desktop or Oculus home, it will still require responding to the dialog box on the monitor before it proceeds to actually starting the game.

This isn't a problem for me. I just click yes and off I go.

Is it possibly running but minimized to the oculus menu bar?

still can't get this to work, not sure what to do, the machine is a Predator Helios 300 laptop running an nvidia 1660 Ti card, I7 9th gen processor 2.6 Ghz clock speed 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD NVMe x 2 drives.  The only weird thing I am seeing is in the graphics properties I'm not seeing the nvidia card, I'm seeing the intel card identified in the game, could that be it?  Is the hardware not being detected properly and it's  not loading?

My last PC had an Intel cpu with built in graphics. I just disabled it. Can't remember if I did that in the bios or the device manager. That GPU would be good for office apps or minor web surfing. It might work for YouTube vids but would be completely useless for gaming.

I guess I should clarify, the game doesn't see it, most everything else does, but aces high doesn't, I'll see how to disable it.

Okay I got it figured out.  I had to go into the nvidia control panel and make sure the nvidia gpu was selected for aces high, and then I could see it on the video setting of aces high, and everything works!  What a pain in the butt!

I meant to ask about the video card when I saw it was a laptop.
