This has, indeed, been 4 years of the most obtuse opposition I've ever seen. You just highlighted why. The economy was booming. Wages were rising for low-income folks at record rates. Unemployment was down to record numbers. What was the main focus of Dems? "This isn't because of Trump." or... "This isn't really a good thing." The whole 4 years was spinning every good thing that happened in the country to be something bad. Trump starts a trade war with China is now a bad thing because... um... we'll have less access to cheap Chinese stuff? Trump causes aluminum shortage is bad because it took a whole 2 months for US aluminum production to ramp up. Trump is fracking the US to death is bad because the US CO2 numbers are dropping drastically as NG becomes an affordable alternative for energy.
Get ready for it:
1) None of this is really because of Trump
2) None of this is really a good thing
You can apply this simple formula to absolutely everything dems have said and then regurgitated for the last 4 years. Hell... just look at the OP in this thread. It is the most recited crap you can read. If I were to write an article on what a modern democrat would spew it would be that verbatum. I've never seen such lock-and-step lunacy from any political party. The left has lost it.
