Some guys are just to much
« on: May 23, 2000, 03:13:00 AM »

I have a lockup problem with my computer and it makes me very frustrated when I fly in main arena.

SO a guy called for a trainer yesterday and as noone answers him I thought "what the heck, Im no ultra dweeb, but I might teach him one or two things anyway".

I offered him to go to the TA with me.
And of we went.

After a while he got the hint on flying as my lessons continued.

Then mr "I know everything" showed up and started to comment my teachin.
I got pissed but kept cool and we changed country and field to get away from the critics.

Now, this was the very last time I ever offered myself to help a newbie. I have done it gladly many times, but this mr "I know everything" just ruined this "happy" feelin with his comments.

Right now I am very irritated because of the lock ups and I know it effects me emotionally when online in AH. Even my posts.

But I really wish sometimes that some people just stayed at brand x and in that kind of community where they belong.

Sad to hear this...

I am sure, however that it is not the general way of doing of the "Training corps", but unfortunately, there are some who take this far too seriously...

Hell, I think we can consider ourselves lucky we are only connected by the net & are not face to face... as I am sure there might be some whacko pulling up a gun at ya one of these days... "F**** B***** YOU SHOT MY CHUTE !..."

No it was´nt any of the "training corps" guys. I would have turned my student emidiatly in the hands of a traineer, as I am no traineer and dont have the same knowledge as one. Hell I could use a trainer myself!

But the guy did well after an hour and he really got the hang of the elementeries. Guess that is what matters, really:that someone cares to help.

But this "I know everething" guy just took a dump in my blue cupbord and I am deeply tired of him and the other whinos.
Look, they have made me to a whiner!

And you are so true In what you say, about the gunwacko thing.

That's unfortunate CRABO....

I was in the TA with Mrs. Badger yesterday while she puttered around learning a new aircraft.  I saw you teaching the new guy as well.  WTG, as he seemed to be picking it up fast.  Looked to me like you were doing a great job.  In fact, someone asked if I wanted to FFA and I think I said on her behalf, that she was actually listening in on your lesson describing "scissoring".  Of course, then she wanted me to show her how that worked....hehe.  I'm going to have to get her a separate account soon.  LOL

Maybe you should apply as a trainer?

Anyway, to the point.  I think I can help you with your freezing and locking problem without too much problem.  I have been building my own Intel/AMD based systems from motherboard up for almost 15 years.  In the late 70's we used to build S100 bus systems and use CP/M as an operating system.  Most of these type of problems are usually driver, component matching or heat related  Send me a private e-mail at the profile listed above and I'll work it through with you till we fix it.  It shouldn't take long to get you up and running solid.

Regards,
Badger
