How about a message after you land thar says "you are going to be switched country - do you want to turn off auto switch - if yes you will not be able to re enable it for 6 hrs"

Enabled the auto switch. Switched back to Knights when sides were close to even. Later tried to switch to the the low # side and said I have to wait 6 hours.

Wasn’t the point to be able to switch to low side #’s at any point?
They're casting their bait over there, see?

As I understand it...not quite!

If you leave the auto switch on, you'll bounce back and forth UNTIL you do as you did, and exit the auto switch so as to choose a specific side.  At that point you're back to the six-hour rule.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

If you switch manually, you have to wait 6 hours. That is my understanding.

Pros:
Teams are pretty much even.
Nice to see some "enemies" flying on our side and hearing new voices.
Seems an increase in new players too, somehow...  :headscratch:
Lots flying EW/MW planes.
Constantly changing dynamics in the fights.

Cons:
Maps are stale and barely change for hours on end.
Way too many perk rides in the air.
Players from other teams landing on your squad comms.
Finding players you were just winging with on your six.

Seems with some tweaking this could be a great thing.

The map on today was never reset quickly, id bet it goes 7 days if allowed.  At the end of the day, its too big for this game either way.

While i would rather be flying along side of you, and players of your calibre, i also found myself fighting the likes of you all this weekend, and enjoyed the hell out of it.

Id call it a win, lots of players enjoyed it.  I feel it brought AH back to its roots a bit.

Be part of the solution, not the problem.  Seeing a lot of vets depending on F4U-4 and 262, can’t complain if you’re going to be one upping those.

Yep, both. Saw more 262s and Tempests today than I have in a while. Also lots of Hurri 1s and delicious targets like that.

I'm not looking forward to being stuck on buzzsaw or pizza for a week.

As did I. One of the best things about this weekend was fighting with and against different people for a change.

Definitely a win. This weekend's flying was the most consistent fun I've had in quite a while.

I wasn't complaining, Tex01. Just pointing it out as a "con".

FWIW I flew an Ahog all weekend except for my last couple of sorties tonight as the circumstances called for it (read: getting my butt kicked)

You know funny thing .... I turned on Auto Balance before logging off one night. When I logged in auto balance made me a bishop, 10 minutes later It changed me to rooks and noticed the rooks where hiding a carrier way off at the edge of the map behind bish bases and the bish owned the port .... auto balance switched me back to bish. I was nice enough to log without saying anything. But I have to ask ....

WTF was the point of the 6 hour country lock ..... Oh ya to stop spying!

I'm just going to call it .... this community is asking for and cruising to a well deserved Darwin award .... I need to learn to not give a crap, maybe I can cut back on the Protonix.

A fair point that it's going to upset the generals.  On the other hand, the air-to-air fights have been very good.

Played several hours today, much improved gameplay. There was a good fight to be found at at least two bases constantly. Best improvement to the game I have see  as far as fair gameplay!! Well done Hitech PS there were 180 ppl on when I left all perfectly balanced.
