Thank you to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin. Late Panzer IV Gs like this one with spaced armour are skinned on our H model, early ones without the armour on the F model.
This late Panzer IV Ausf G served with the 4th Panzer Division's II/Panzer Regiment 35 during 1944. The Divisional shield and the Regimental bear logos were painted on in several places and camouflaged with a complex forest-mimicking scheme. At some point in its life field-applied zimmerit was added to improve protection against magnetic mines.
The 4th Panzer Division served in the invasions of Poland and France in 1939/40 and then from mid 1941 on the Eastern Front with Army Group Centre. In late 1944 the Division was transferred to Army Group North in Lithuania where the advancing Red Army cut it to pieces and destroyed it.
