VR (O.Quest-2) and joystick
« on: February 21, 2021, 02:57:51 AM »
Greetings,

VR looks awesome in AH-3,
i would like to use the OQ2 AND my joystick.

The thing is that i can't get it to show up in menu anymore.
So far, i only see mouse, kb and VR buttons / axis to setup.

Is the stick seen by windows? The game will see and allow you to make use of any controller that is. It should show up in Map Controllers. It could be you haven't assigned the axii to the stick there yet.

Try re-plugging the stick? VR does not use the non-VR control scheme in AH, you have to set up your controls in VR.

i run AH3 in vr mode, only the mouse is listed in "controllers"

I even pressed "calibrate" :

In VR your should actually have MORE controllers showing in the list as it will include the controllers with your VR headset along with everything else. You know where it says mouse that's a drop down menu right? Silly but had to ask. Even so I can't imagine the mouse being the top of the list anyway. Just a thought. Thinking some file needs to be deleted and recreated. Usually they're just there! No need to add them.

AH normally sees every controller that windows sees.

Just to confirm, your FFB joystick shows up in AH when not in VR?

If it does you can try adding "VR_" to the joystick's jsm. file name in the AH settings folder so joystickname.jsm becomes VR_joystickname.jsm.
