Exactly..... I've been gone for a bit. Have not canceled my account. Still supporting HT and crew. I just have not bought new controls since the freeze and the ceiling in my office caving in. I know I can stop in.... may be back.... may not. Good folks here..... once you see some other places you realize just how good they are here. LOL

Far better folks here. <S>

Shuffler I have 32 GB of ram and a motherboard with an i5-4690K, if you'd like it. You'd have to find a case, power supply, and graphics card. Hell, even if you arent in the mood for AH, maybe you can get some Red Dead Redemption 2 game time in :)

No. Aces High is incredibly well optimized. I run the game in 1440p on max graphics and I think it usually uses 1-2GB ram max. Not sure about VR. I always had large ram for video editing, photoshop, and general software development.

I'm going to be moving soon and trying to get rid of stuff. Anything that I can give to other AH players I'd prefer over my toejamty town I live in.

Its 4 sticks of 8gb, so I guess I could split it in two. I can mail you two 8gb sticks. DDR3 1866 Mhz

Thanks. I appreciate that but I'd rather them go to somebody who "needs" them. My rig runs ok :)

AH and previously, WB, have a community I that made me stay way longer than I would have, if it did not exist.

Travelling to EuroCon in Netherlands, met AH'er in Spain, Brittain  (and US in WB) , have had guests in my home from places in Europe.

I have moved elsewhere with Loose Deuce squadron, friends I have met in WB and AH.

IMO having double the required RAM for a game is typically worth it.  If it requires 4, have 8.  If it requires 8 have 16.  About the only thing I know of that "requires" 16 that I'm vaguely interested in is Star Citizen, and if I ever get into it hard enough I will likely upgrade to 32 although I'm pretty curious if I'll actually notice much difference in anything else.

In my experience every time I've gone to more RAM, regardless of what the stuff I was running at the time required it just ran better, less glitchiness overall no matter the program and obviously better ability to alt tab out of stuff and back.  Most stuff I've been playing lately was recommended 8, I don't know that I'd gain much going from 16 to 32.  It runs about the best I can imagine it at the moment and I don't get too far into seconds of load time or 5 more FPS changes.

YMMV.
