Wasn't a very good frame for us. We still had fun though.

Axis was undermanned from launch so it didn’t really surprise me.  I was having fun right up until I was barely wheels up after a rearm when the AK F4u horde arrived at the base

The orders per say was not that great. Had my bombers fly right through the combat area with no fighter cover or communication of said fighter cover. We still had fun either way. Got killed by a good friend which makes it a little bit better.

Your fighter cover of 6 was equally "screwed". Escort and strip an NOE from bandits dropping from well above. Where we supposed to clear them, into the water? It's basically asking the escort to kill everything that hopefully over shoots us for the buffs. Any advantage the F4U has is thrown in the trash on the deck. We were just bait so the high buffs were clear. We ran into a mass at 18K, before yall got there and hoped to keep them high and busy.

I was the Ki61 that spotted you guys from 17k about to cross into the combat sector. I dove down trying not to break my plane or get shot by the P38 I saw. I got down to Icon range to confirm and then noticed the F4U on my tail. I knew my night was over so into the formations I go guns a blazing. I got the word out and my squaddies cleaned it up. In no way am I saying anything about VF-17 because your reputation proceeds you sir. There was no communication on command channel. Having us fly NOE past a fleet being attacked is really poor planning.
