« on: June 07, 2021, 03:05:37 PM »
Anyone know where the 475th in aces high went?   Dobbs, Gflyer and others?

Kind of miss a group of 38s ready to fight with or against.

Last thing I remember about them was when they all pitched a fit because they were assigned P-38's in only two of the three frames of a Pacific FSO...

This and then War Thunder. Gflyer hung around a bit longer then disappeared as well.

I was in the 475th, flight name icke1.  Flew from about 2006 until 2017 when Dawger took the squadron to Warthunder.  Dawger is on the move again to DCS.  I do not think I will follow.  Warthunder is experiencing a few problems and I do miss the ability to fly, use a GV and try to sink other ships and land targets from a ship without changing arenas that have a 16 person limit per side, Including AI's.  Taking a while to get everything setup with VR, but am looking forward to it.  I recognize a lot of names from days gone by  :lol

I have not seen them in War Thunder but then again when I do show up to play there I am in tanks but then again haven’t played there as much as I used to in the last 3 months lucky if I log in once a week

I tried War Thunder, just could not get in to it. Too many restrictions, and the small arenas, no thank you. Aces High is STILL the best game I've found.  :rock

It takes time to get used to ya have to work each tier to get the good tanks and the areas are not to small a lot of good hiding spots once you get used to the game. My squad is 128 maxed but since I have not been playing as much I know some deadbeats like my self need a cleaning out lol

Lazer <S>.   I rage quit after you killed me in a turn and a half in an LA9 :).  I had reached my fill of LAs and Spit 16s and long flights just to find more of the same.

475th left long ago - Dawger was grumpy about a ride assignments for  FSO but that wasn't his only reasoning for sliding the 475th over to WT.  I just couldn't get excited about that change and stayed.
