How is this not common sense?
Because YOUR common sense isnt as common as you believe. Just because "more players fly fighters" doesnt mean the same as "more players LIKE to fly fighters". All of your thoughts and ideas for this game stem completely around what YOU believe is, everyone wants to fight in fighters, and it just not true, not even close.
I like fighting in fighters, but I also like to do bomber milk runs to see if I can beat my highest damage total. I also like to jump in vehicles to try my luck against the super stars we have in the game. I also like to work with my squad, heck almost any group that is working toward a goal be it defense or offence. I think I represent a far large group of players than you do by a huge margin.
Do you know why you see "so many players flying fighters"? Because they get bombs to the target faster. Also its a lot easier to vulch in a fighter than it is in a buff, though doing it in a buff is a riot! lusche did NOT post stats that the majority of players want to play in fighters. Lusche has no way of knowing what players "Want". He could only post the numbers he could pull from the game, want has nothing to do with it. That was why I wanted you to post a link because I knew you never could. So again, your logic is faulty.
Personally I would like to see only small maps even if they do get rolled quickly...... by all those fighter guys

I think new players would have more fun if the action was moving quickly. At least having there butts handed to them every flight wouldnt hurt so much as long as there is action around for the next flight. The large maps get boring for a long time players, what do you think a newb is going to think of it?
One other thing, we have a different type of player these days. Far too many players doing the pick and run in their ponies looking to run up kill streaks to look good for the ladies when they land

we all know who they are. Gone are the days when a player popped the same a guy a few times and then tuned him up on the radio to try and help them out to get better at the game. The all mighty "kill count" far out weighs the "help to retain players" thing. Until the next wave of gamers rolls in to again change how the game is played OR Hitech steps in and forces a change I fear we well continue along the path we are on now, a slow decline.
