Invert axis not inverting my axis

Even though I haven't played for a little while everything worked fine last time I did. Now, my throttle works backwards. Easy enough, I'll just go check the invert axis button but, the stick doesn't change. Anybody know what's up with that?

When was the last time you shut your computer down properly? I mean by holding the Shift button down while clicking Shutdown. First thing to try when something stops working by itself.

Nope, no change.

Try unplugging your throttle,then when you plug it back in make sure you select the throttle axis and check the invert box.

Thanks for the help so far fellas. Ya I've unplugged it, uninstalled it, etc. more than once. Still no go.
The odd thing is that when I click invert, I see the scale for Scaled input shift as expected but when I hit the runway it hasn't changed.

This is an X52 with Windows 10, just in case anyone else is watching.

Do you click "save" after switching it?

There isn't a "save" just the OK button which I have nearly worn out. Of course my first reaction was "oh my god, I'm an idiot".

Before opening aces high open windows controller where you see the x52 throttle button axis functions

I right click on throttle and open properties

Leave that open and start ah

I used to have to do that for my x52 setup to be seen correctly

I have an X-52.  This is not necessary.

It was in my case or else the 3 modes the X52 has was not recognized in AH

Or sometimes it would not see the ch rudders

Keeping windows controller window open cured that and is why I still do it with the warthog,  tm1600 throttle and ch pedals hotas I use now

 Yup had the same issue with vista and an X52,never had the problem when I switched to win7,cant say about win10 as I'm still running win7.

Nope, no change.
When I'm looking at the scales after clicking advanced, they switch like they should and everything appears correct there, it just doesn't change once I launch.

Note: If you see me in the skies remember that I am dealing with bass ackwards controls and show me some mercy!

Finally figured it out I think. Had to make all changes while in the cockpit. Just in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
Now I have to come up with another excuse as to why I'm so bad at this flying/shooting thing.

By "in cockpit" you mean in VR? The VR control settings are a separate set from the regular control settings.
