Bombsight Help please

Newbie here. I have my bomber at altitude with good speed and set on auto level, but when I jump into the Nordern the AC begins losing altitude. How do I keep it level when calibrating etc?

I should stay in level auto pilot when in the bomb-sight. If you are losing auto pilot just re-press your key for auto level.
Make sure it is the correct auto pilot also. AcesHigh has 3 types; level, angle and speed.

when you change positions you have a different control mode setup running. three ways to fix it,

go to options/controllers/map controller 1 click on the center check box and turn "auto mode select" off and it will maintain mode 1 or...

on the same page use the drop down "mode" box to select mode 2 (vehicles/gunners) then click the red button to the left that says "copy mode one" or....

set all of your controller buttons and switches for mode 2 manually so that you have a unique setup while in vehicles and gunner positions.

Thanks Gents. I should add that when I'm in the Bombsight view I keep hitting the level button but the setting doesn't hold. It works okay in the cockpit view. That is the problem.

In the pilots seat your in Mode 1, where you have programmed your controllers. If Im right, in Mode 2 you havent programmed your controllers and some setting it turning off the auto level.

Thanks, I definitely hadn't programmed Mode 2. Can you use the same keys as per mode 1?

yes, in the 2nd dropdown box select mode 2 then click the red button in the top left that says "copy mode 1" and that will copy all your settings to mode 2.

There are quite a few FOLK, that would go "The Distance" helping you out!!!  This is the Most Wonderful thing, about this Sim!!!
