Film viewer
« on: October 26, 2021, 04:44:02 PM »
Hello everyone.

I’ve been looking at some film last night and today that involves only GVs.

What I’d like to see is the other players view from the gun/cannon position, but as of yet I can only see the commanders view of the other player.

I’ve gone through all the options I can find to try to see what the other player sees from gunner’s position in his tank, but all the options only show commander’s position.

Does the film only record GVs from commander’s view? Or if the other player was only shooting from the commander’s view is that why?

Also is there an arena I can go into to bring up any map I’d like and see what some of the terrain and objects look like bases?

Thank you

 :salute

I dont think you can jump around gun positions in a bomber either. The view from the other guys plane/vehicle is very limited for us tho I believe that HTC can get far more info on the other guys plane/vehicle from our film.

As for terrains, you can load any map and play it off line, or make a custom arena and load any map there as well.

if i remember correctly it only records your views. done films before and sometimes jumped to another plane but the views showing was the movements I've done in my own plane.

also if you are using trakir it won't record any. not sure about vr.

it was explained to me that it was too keep the film size smaller as in big furballs it would impact your frame rate.

also what you are trying to prove would need the other player's film.

semp
you dont want me to ho, dont point your plane at me.

Thank you Fugitive. It does seem like there’s no way to view exactly what the other player saw with our film viewer. When I get some more time to look at it I’ll see if I think HiTech should look at it.

Wish we could do more with our film viewer…

Semp I don’t use TrackIR or VR.

As to what I’m trying to prove, well I know you saw my text on 200 and country as you replied to me a few times. I appreciate that. However, what I’m trying to prove is probably not what you’re thinking. I’m trying to find a plausible explanation for what took place.

Btw, after looking at the film it has nothing to with any lag.  It’s where he was shooting from and shooting through that needs clarification how it is possible.

Is it a bug on that base, is it something else, I don’t know.

Seems you are spot on though that I’d need his film which even if he has it he’s not going to show anyone…

Thank you for your input. However, you weren’t there and I asked on country for anyone free to please come to that base and see for themselves, no one did. They only had about 5 mins to get there anyways as the base was then captured…

The film viewer doesn't actually record audio and video. It records data and creates the video based on the data.  That's why you can jump to the other player and see from the perspective of that plane or tank.  But the player itself is limited to the views it displays.
