Question as a retired furballer
« on: December 16, 2021, 06:28:20 PM »
Been out of the game for 10 years. Noticed the numbers are down. Is there still hair on fire furballs ? CV off the coast with a huge fights ? Best of times back in the day. Landing the CV with a few under the belt, to take off again for some more..

Greetings nopoop!

Weekday primetime evenings are consistently above 100 players.  Friday nights with FSO add can sometimes add another 100 online.   We have more MA maps and more aircraft skins since 10 years ago.

I am sure you find some of the kind of fights you seek.   Get back in here!  We need ya!

I may be wrong, but it looks to me that when I log into the melee arena, I'm automatically sent to the field with the most 'action.'

Actually, the CV fights are still some of the best fights in AH with some of the biggest fights. One of my favorite things in the game. Battles aren't as big as they use to be, but at times you are still fighting with and against 10-15 guys. Depending on the map you can get some real good fights during the evening times. Its a much harder game I feel than it use to be. People don't like dying as much. And ACM is an old school Jedi trick that most don't care to learn.

Get yourself an Oculus Quest 2 for Christmas and link cable, and then prepare to be blown away by playing from INSIDE the cockpit.

Dale has coded the best VR implementation because the hat switch is still functional in VR, meaning its easy to check your six.
