F6F-5 VF-23 USS Langley CVL-27
« on: January 04, 2022, 08:27:34 PM »
VF-23 was stationed aboard the USS Langley for it's second cruise form February to May 1945 and took part in the Tokyo raids and missions over Okinawa. The squad saw few opportunities to score air to air kills but when they did they took advantage of them. They finished with 20 splashed bandits on that cruise to bring the total kills to 55 for the war.

SWEET!
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC
