A Shout Out & Tip of the hat to Ramesis
« on: January 06, 2022, 12:17:23 PM »
My history with Aces High dates back to 2001, and much of that time has been spent using a CH Fighterstick, USB Throttle and CH Peds. While the gear's stood the test of time, the pots on the j-stick and peds were most likely in need of replacement. A few weeks ago I noticed a post in the forum classifieds by Ramesis, who was giving away his clamp-on HOTAS mounts. The next day he adds on, "I'll up the ante and include the Warthog HOTAS if you pay S&H"  I figured he was kidding but PM'd him just in case he wasn't. Turns out HE WASN'T kidding.

Due to medical issues, Ramesis wasn't able to handle the rigors of AH and decided to hang up his guns. He friggin GAVE me the Thrustmaster Warthog throttle, joystick and a set of Saitek peds, only asking for reimbursement for shipping costs. I offered him some money for a night on the town but he refused.

I wish to offer a public THANK YOU for your generosity, Ramesis.  :salute  Time and again this community goes the extra mile for fellow players.

Class act indeed!

Once upon a time I was getting pretty serious about flying, decided not to go the Lazer route, and used an Xbox controller. flew for about 6 months like that, met a guy named 69Fiat or Creton, who then kinda took me and sent me the very same track IR i still use today, and an old LOGI joystick. flew on that for about two years. This game is full of awesome people like that.

I use a mouse, not a controller.   :)

Yes it is a shame AH lost a player like Ramesis

His actions here show him to be a true gentleman

Dangit, RotBaron, you had to pull me into the thread!  LOL

Ramesis was awesome from my encounters with him.

I am always glad to help out anyone if I can.  Hope that stick is working out well for you.

Sorry for letting everyone know if you didn’t want to be identified.  I hope the LOL means you’re not upset.

The stick does work great. Thank you sir!

I’ve been in a GV way more than I used to be, my flying skills are practically gone and as most experience it takes a lot of effort to get them back. Been meaning to get back in the G-14 when I have more time.
