Hospital visit
« on: January 25, 2022, 01:49:57 PM »
24 Years old and glad to be alive. Spent the last 24 hours in the hospital, fever of 105.6 and blood oxygen got down to 82. Got my fever down to 101 and blood oxygen up to 95 this am and they are sending me home. Thought I was dying last night. I am vaccinated but have decided against boosters. Covid can certainly suck dong. Hope to be on for a bit tonightt if I can get throwing up under control.

Did they tell you which variant you got?

Sounds more like delta than omicron

I don't think you can find that out .. let us know

When I had a go at it back in early 2020 I felt so crappy I actually missed a KOTH after being too sick to fly for about a week

You will feel better soon

Hope your recovery is smooth and complete.

As 24 is very young to get that sick - just curious Peanut1 - would you be willing to share your general health status  / BMI?

If not that is understandable too

I'm 63 in 2 months 5' 9" 170 lbs and have a BMI of 25 which is considered overweight :)

What treatment did you get in the hospital?

I'm 6'1 and 230lbs. By no means fat but def stout. I'm sure my bmi says overweight too. I was hydrated via IV given oxygen therapy and treated for a high fever. Once hydrated everything got better quickly. Trouble is I am puking every single time I drink or eat. I'm doing pretty good right now and hoping to come commit suicide repeatedly in the virtual world in a bit.

Glad your feeling better!!

It’s me so a pre-apology.

You need a thicker shell and I bet some sea salt would help   :D

Good thing you got to a hospital!

Those vitals are a disaster recipe!

I once had a fever around 104 and started hallucinating and could barely stand up to walk. 105.6, I’m surprised you were able to even ask for help, or did it get that high while you were admitted?

The it’s just a cold/flu crowd will be along shortly and tell you it wasn’t that bad…
