Congrats to atlau for finishing #1 in fighter rank…again.  Truly incredible numbers. 

I really paid attention this tour to see how well I could do.  Not even close.

To summarize: total rank is the sum of your rank in 5 categories. atlau’s total rank sum is 21.  2nd place was 100!

if rank was based off of willingness to participate in dogfighting action you would be in the top 10 and atlau would be in the rear of the pack. Unfortunately rank is hand in hand which flying like a girl. 😂

Putting things into perspective, the top 5 pilots (fighter mode) compared to the median fighter score of tour 264 (from all pilots with at least 10 sorties)




A few things:
Atlau could probably not have achieved those numbers if he was a European daytime pilot. If I hadn't stayed up until 5am and done a lot of Komet sorties, my own k/h would have been much lower than it already is. It's all about having kill opportunities in the first place these days.
What's impressive is his hit %. I have been at 17, even at over 20% myself before, but I was shooting mostly bombers. Almost 18% against a lot of fighters is outstanding.

Running doesn't help much with one's score. "Run run, gotta protect your precious score" is nonsense. it only 'protects' K/D.  But if you run a lot your k/h (maybe the most important stat) and kill points will suffer. If anything, we runners are protecting our Egos

yes I’ve seen some stellar numbers before but usually its flying a perk plane against lots of buffs. I think half of my kills are against bombers. As you stated  often when flying in the morning EST those are the targets that are available. to have that king kill ratio against fighters with that hit % is so far out of capability I just can’t help but be impressed.
