I just logged off from AH, totally aghast.

I can't believe how big of inroads russia propagada made into american minds.

Context - i live in Warsaw. We always had sizeable Ukrainian population, those days even more so.
I've been to the border, helped to move a russian speaking family from Dombas to Warsaw. Grandma, mother, child aged 2. Scared, worried about their men.

I log on to Ah and i hear "nazis in ukraine" troupe. Gents, for all its worth. I've been here 23 years, most of you "know" me in AH fashion. I'm no bot/spammer.

Are there nazis in ukraine ? yeah. Same as there are in USA, Poland or Russia. In every population there is a small group of
impotent cretins who need to satisfy there inferiority complex. They are usually uneducated, often ultras for some soccer club etc. When Ukraine was attacked in 2014 they even formed a militia unit- Azov. It still exists today, being wiped out in Mariupol. Thing is, over last 8 years not many nazi's are left in it.

Are nazis's in charge of Ukraine government? Absolutely not. Their president is a Jew for f...s sakes.
Their government is pro western. Ukrainians are getting richer by day. They travel to Europe pretty freely and often work there. They felt a taste of freedom, ability to work and earn a good living, and they like it.
Why does this bother Putin ? Because Ukraine and Russia are very culturally close and there are strong family bonds. Rich Ukraine will quickly lead to his own people wondering why they are so poor. Why they can't have all the cool stuff. It will be an end of his kleptocratic regime.
He needs Russia surrounded with poor, destitute nations like Belarus. So that his people see even more dismal conditions then their own. Sprinkle some patriotism and you're all set.

Ukraine was attacked in 2014, despite Russian/USA/UK guarantees and is currently being wiped off the map.
Innocent people, civilians are being executed. Towns leveled.
Please, i beg you, don't parrot that retarded Russian propaganda. There are freedom loving people, peaceful people, being brutalized right now. If you can help, please do. Least you can do is not help the enemy by endorsing their lies.

Amen.  Get facts straight.  It is a war pressed by Russia.  They simply want something someone else has.  Russia, or should I say Putin, has no illusions.  He could care less about the Ukrainian people or for his own soldiers.  He's an evil Despot. He will make others die for what he wants. I could not put it more simply.

Some of us are old enough to remembering watching the news Russian Tanks in the streets of Hungary quelling the population forcibly.  What Poland went through to become an independent country.
The Czech republic etc.  Same old song unfortunately.  Iron fisted Leaders with an ignorant population believing the propaganda.

fd/ski <S> well done.  May God be with the people of Poland, and for people of the Ukraine.who are suffering massively.  We should not stand with anything but ones own freedom, peace and security.

Thank you Ski for saying what you said. I am in Canada so I cannot even begin to appreciate the frustration and anger you must feel being so close to this Russian atrocity. Nevertheless, the war crimes being committed by the Russian army are not being censored on Canadian television and like most Canucks (we have our share of ignorant nazis too), I am incensed about what is going on.
The parallel to Hitler's blitzkrieg invasion of Poland in September 1939 is too similar to ignore... This "Dicktator" has to be stopped now or we will have to later.

you have to understand that a small segment get their news from Facebook and some people who's only interest in news is how much money they get by creating controversy. their own network attorneys have successfully defended them in court by saying no reasonable person would believe them. and yet many people do believe them.
