AHRL:Aces High Racing League

 I used to enjoy the AHRL in years past. Does anyone else miss it? Or remember it?

 I'd like to see its return but I'm sure it never will be.

 However, is it possible to get any of the racing league maps/terrains uploaded to the server for use offline. The courses that were custom built by someone ("Bear"?) were a blast.

Yep.  I remember this.    Only participated in one race though, and had to drop out after the 2nd stage in that one. 

But I had fun!

You are suppose to fly OVER the weeds, not through them.

I never participated one, looking at the videos were challenging enough! I would have crashed into the first corner!

Can't remember for sure but did JVLEEES run the races for awhile?  They were fun.

Of the two, the B-26 race stood out to me.  I came in last, for something...  I think I blew myself up, as part of the race required you to bomb a selected target along the route.  Flying just high enough and fast could result in bad Juju it seems.

Nice responses. But I would like to know if anyone has saved any of the terrain/map/course.res files that were used.

 If so, they may be able to be uploaded to the server then used in a player created arena or used offline.

BIX, those were AH2 terrains and won’t work in AH3 but that doesn’t mean someone can’t build another for AH3.

 While I never participated I would help a few players try to learn to fly smooth. An old trainer used to say smooth is fast,fast is good… a Widewing quote.  Anyone remember dadkev? I assisted him one night and the next night he won a race and came into the TA to tell me about it and thanked me for all the help.


  All I really did was help him to be gentle on the JS. and adjust some of his stick settings.
