I've been pondering going thru my collection and buying remastered versions of all. I guess buying them on cd isn't even a thing anymore?
Optical, as a media, has been effectively dead for quite a few years. The vast majority is streamed now. Remember when they said you will own nothing and be happy? It's double edged since YOU don't have a physical copy of the music, the ARTIST has nothing tangible to sell (except concert tickets and t-shirts), the distributers have virtually no overhead (no pressing factories, no warehousing, no trucking).. The streaming companies (not the labels) have an almost 100% profit margin.
With the exception of vinyl.
