Happy Friday
« on: June 17, 2022, 03:41:50 AM »
In the finest Pipz tradition: Happy Friday!

Summer showed up in Northern Europe. People drinking in cafes, everyone relaxed and happy, even while road-raging. Music, BBQs, packed beaches and summer dresses on bicycles, ooh la la. I already nearly crashed the car four times

---Summer showed up in Northern Europe.---
It's the third day in a row of traditional summer weather here. 11 deg at the moment, NW wind, occasional rain. The forecast says this will continue at least until Wednesday. After that they say it will be partly cloudy.

How many oooo's would you type for Lapland? It's still Europe, from here to Rovaniemi it's 550 km and another 450 to the most Northern place in Finland... And still there's quite a long trip to northern Norway not to mention Svalbard!

I could drive 1800km and still not leave the province,in fact I’d still be in the bottom half. The drive to James bay would take about 4 or 5 days, doing at least 800km per day.

I watched a video where a fellow drove his 70's Rolls all the way up there to see the Northern lights! Fantastic.
