I don't check in here very often, but had to say something about my former wingman Seighin.

He was a character and a good dude.  When my cheepo Logitech 3Dpro stopped working properly, he offered to buy me a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog setup so I could keep flying with him in FSO.  Now THAT'S a wingman!  (I didn't take him up on it, because it was too generous an offer.)

Seighin ran some of us VF-17 guys through various carrier ops qualifiers, one of which was going engine off at 15K, edge of the dar-ring, to prove we could make it back and land deadstick on the CV if we ever had to.  And if he was in a particularly feisty mood on that training day, he'd start turning it.

I flew nearly all of my FSO frames with Seighin as my flight lead.  I can still hear him yammering in my ear for help to shoot someone off his six after he got in trouble.  He was good at getting us into trouble, and at fighting together to get out of it -- most of the time.

He was a good guy, a good member of the community, and a good squadmate.  He'll be missed.

For those of us playing this game for well over a decade, Aces High is more of a social club. The game just provides the framework. I keep logging in for the people and Pipz was the kind that you keep coming to meet again.
