I think it will be a very active and fun scenario.

Lot's of fighter combat around tactical bombing and fighter-bombing.

Here's what it's looking like so far (though not finalized yet), boxes being targets, ovals being take-off bases:

Frames 3 and 4:

Looking forward to this one. June FSO had a similar planeset, Spit IX, Spit VIII, P-47D-11, P-47D-25 vs 190A-5, 190F-8, 109G-6. I felt it was a really even match up. Each side won a frame and the deciding 3rd frame was only a 3 point difference. There were some really good fights too.

Any word on what time the frames will be running?

That may be an issue for me. I got promoted to cashier and run 3-11s so I may miss them depending on my work schedule. As they say you have to make money to play.

Make it 5 pm and I might get keen.

Either way, it has to be a bit more playable than last time it was run.
Allies had to take 22 bases on Sicily and had fly troops in from Africa or land them in lvts and any death meant loss of one of your 3 rides.  Volunteers not so easy to get in that one. Oh and AXIS had panzers.
I get really really tired of selective realism disguised as a desire to make bombers easier to kill.

I sat that one out because it looked awful all those years ago. This one is completely different and only really borrows some of the planeset and the area of operations.
