Pretty cool!

Sounds like they might be delivery some of them to Pepsi and Frito-Lay. With those mega-chargers already installed.

I wonder what the range and charge times are for these? And the weight capacity. I'll bet these would do well going up hills with all the torque. And probably should be able to pull a lot of weight.

Electric can pull a lot of weight. It just uses up the batteries much quicker. Hence the diesel electric locomotives we have used for years. With locomotives the weight is a plus.

Looks like room for a diesel generator on that truck.

The truckers will adapt pretty quickly since you can use regen like a jake brake.
That said, I have seen new Prius cars under 30,000 miles that’s in for a brake job and the average mpg says 27 on the computer.   Other people had in the mid 40s or higher.
Never underestimate some the public’s ability to defeat technical innovation.

The Prius owners who don’t need brakes until 80,000 miles also have the highest average mpg.

Charging speed revealed and price likely going up.

350 miles in 30 minutes of charging from zero.  You do need the semicharger though, it won't use a regular Tesla supercharger station.  So trucking companies will have to stage semicharger stations along their routes for cross-country trucking.

How will stalled on an interstate for hours after an accident affect mileage?

Does the slow stop and go change the numbers?

Free charging stations replacing high diesel which would assist low driver pay might help fill the empty truck driver positions...or they can let more walk across the border..

That's pretty impressive. Lots of good things about this truck it seems.

Wonder what happens if on an interstate and a wreck cause slow moving stop and go traffic. Batteries die in the process.  Call a tow truck.  Same happens if you run out of gas.......however in a gasoline car a five gallon can of gas can be delivered to get you off the highway.  I know....this happened to a friend of mine in his electric vehicle.  Took awhile to get him loaded and off the freeway, and charging station wasn't close.   :(  Hefty tow bill.
