Returning After 15+ year break!

Hello All,

I recently reopened my account after a 15+ year break. (Roughly who can remember?) and I'm happy to see this game is still going.
I used to belong to the Screaming Eagle squadron under the name of SE30mm.
I started this thread to say "hi" and to also see if there are any of my old squadmates still playing?

I also just wanted to reach out to the community to ask for useful tips and information for someone who hasn't played since early aces high 2.

For example: when are the peak play times? Any new arenas you suggest I try? Is the community still strong?

Welcome back and I can't say I see any old SEs about but they could have changed their names.  If you would like maps of everything and some data tables for printing for desktop, you can pm me your email addy and i'll send them to you.  Anyways, welcome back and feel free to ask questions.

Welcome back dude.  I'm planning my return for within six weeks.  Had a minor set back budget wise yesterday until I can get my rig and gear together.  Going to cost me  a couple of weeks of planned return but it's cool.  I'll be there pretty soon

Thank you guys all for the welcome back! That's one thing I always loved about this community, was the friendly people!

@1ijac and @Eagler I definitely will take you both up on your offers!

@Eagler were you an SE at one point or is that just a coincidence?  (Regarding your name?)
I was (back in the day) a decent duelist and I would love to gain that skill back. But when I hopped into the dueling arena yesterday I was getting swarmed by the AI and shotdown. Which tells me that I need some practice after 15 years lol. I'm sure with a little practice it will be like riding a bike. It may also be that I was in my mid 20's when playing before and now I'm 40 and no longer have quick reflexes. LMAO.

Main Arena is pretty much the only active one right now, on weekends though you can usually pick up a few duelists in the "H2H Arena" set up by Easy. Prime time is the night time, weekends are strong, upwards of 150 players.

Any idea what country you'll be flying with?

If I remember SE used to be Bishops... But No I don't know which country I'll be flying with as of now. I think I'll wait to see who I start flying with and if anyone recruits me (squad wise) unless you guys have a suggestion on a country? From memory players used to be pretty evenly spread across the countries, is this still the case?

I've got to ask though.... I noticed the latest release of the game is back from 2020. I don't mean to offend anyone, but has development or patching on the game stopped? Or is the last release just that good? (I remember this game not ever being buggy anyway, so im sure it doesn't mean anything)

As for the best time to play, that would explain why there weren't many players on yesterday afternoon. If prime time is still night. Iooks like I'll be logging in in the evenings
