This reminds me of that time I ran into my ex-wife at the mall...

Isn't it sad that they can't put whatever it is behind them?

David Gilmour is my favorite musician of all time. The way he plays the guitar is just godly. I think that one live version of Comfortably Numb is one of the best live songs ever recorded. That solo at the end gives me goosebumps every time. I also think "Another Brick in the Wall Pt 2" has one of the most underrated guitar solos. No one even realizes it, that's why Gilmour is just so amazing. Pink Floyd had that awesome unique sound where it feels like you were flying in space. Wish I could have seen them live. I loved their usage of different piano/synthesizer sounds. Definitely a unique band that had it all.

Division Bell is one of my favorite albums of all time. Listening to Marooned on while on the beach is so nice. I can listen to the whole album without a changing a song. The songs just make me really happy. I actually prefer Gilmours style of music morso than Roger's, which is why I like that album the best. I've always loved that guitar sound so its hard for me not to like Gilmour more.

Marooned

It's not the amount of notes played in great music. It's the spaces between the notes..

Pink Floyd were garbage university types.

Like the Stones university types

The Rolling Stones are embarrassing today

The Who - you would not mess with Roger Daltry he was hard as nails

Justin Bieber has more relevance that Pink drug addled Floyd

David Gilmore IS Pink Floyd. Waters is not missed at all.

Just sayin.

I agree!  Waters is still very egotistical.  Gives himself credit he doesn't deserve.

Roger Waters' writing credits give him the credit he deserves.
He wrote most of:
Dark side of the moon
Wish you were here
Animals
The wall

Write all of the final cut.

Roger Waters was the director and creative force that made Pink Floyd great.

If you take away Rodger Waters you don't have any of those albums.

Being as Roger Waters wrote the large majority of Pink Floyd's songs, it's pretty laughable to say that he seeks credit that he doesn't deserve.

In the 30 year period where Gilmour led Pink Floyd - they put out only three albums. The first two after Rogers left, he hired outside songwriters and that last album was basically just old stuff they didn't use for Division Bell.

I know music is subjective. People may like those last three albums. I think they are like a façade of what Pink Floyd was. I think they're horrible.

I'm not a huge Pink Floyd fan though. If I ever listen at all, I have to be in a certain mood. I do appreciate music, songwriting and originality. I know how hard it is to get a song completed. It's not easy at all.

Reminds me of when Benjamin Orr was writing his album The Lace. Horrible album. This guy, to the average Joe, was at least 1/2 of The Cars.

Check out this interview of him explaining why the album took so long to make. He struggled. He got another writer to help.

Ben Orr was a great singer. Good musician. He added tremendously to The Cars - but he could not write songs.

Jew-hater, Putin/Xi apologist, drug-head multi-millionaire 80 year old.

He also wrote some songs.
