Been a whole lot of talkin goin on about Dale needs to do this, Dale needs to do that. New aircraft and update the game
I was browsing the Oculus app for this new WW2 pacific game when I came across a game called
War Online: Pacific
Which is made by Hitech Creations and was released in 2019. What was really interesting is that you can touch the controls inside the cockpit.
And it is FREE.99
Well, I do wish Dale would take off a couple of maps like CraterMA and Buzzkill. Or atleast switch the rotation of maps. Last week, we had Buzzkill on for 3 days going into Friday night. Only 80 players max on Friday evening. Then, the next map is CraterMA, it stays up all weekend for 4 days. I saw maybe 70 players logged in the entire time when I got to play. Not sure how many total logged during primetime, but I recon maybe 85. When I logged, there were no fights on the map, planes spread out all over the place and I'd have to fly 25 miles just to fight a couple of red guys who would probably end up ganging me anyway or running and not re-upping. It's so obvious to me when I see low #s that is mainly due to the map and fights on that map. When these maps come on weekends and we don't even break 100, that's when I know people don't like to play on these maps because there isn't big action.
Now, with the other game, IMO, I wish they had worked more on AH than spent putting this other game together. Or made this game an offshoot of AH like H2H use to be. Atleast it would have kept players in AH. I always saw it as a trainer style flight arcade for younger players to learn air combat. It is a sorta smaller combat situation than AH with more stall controls. Atleast from what I've heard. The thing about it is, most players who fly AH aren't going to switch to that, and players who tried it are probably off playing WT instead. There are still things like the tempest cockpit in AH that need updating. There are still things to work out in AH. I feel that HTC spent a lot of time trying to make Match Play into this big thing, when it just made it more convoluted and harder than what it should have been.some of the concepts like airspawns and quick duel spawns are cool. But why not just have that, remove the AI, add some directions and bring back the furball area without the AI. Remove all of the scoring crap and just open it for free combat. That could have basically been the entire new game that was made. Just sometimes I feel like things were made more complicated than they should have been, and with the new game, it took attention of AH and on the new game, which isn't really what a lot of AH players were expecting. I think it all should have just stayed in AH as a separate module of the game that was FTP, and it would have encouraged those players to try the MA one day. Just my thoughts on this.
