Some people obviously get upset when you hijack their thread. I personally don't care if somebody gets off topic a little during a conversation (hijack). Not only does hijacking a thread keep it to the top, but it keeps it interesting as well, unless they go too far.

What brand of chainsaw do you all recommend?

When it is one or 2-3 posts off topic no problem and usually funny...when it is several pages off topic it is a problem.
