Bah.  Golesh not going to be with Tennessee in the Orange Bowl.

I'm assuming Heupel takes over offensive calls, which I'm thinking can work out just fine.

Ah, man . . . Cedric Tillman (excellent Tennessee player) is opting out of the Orange Bowl.  :cry

Welcome to the new college football.  Just ask any Gator fan about players opting out.  No team better at it these days.

The Liberty Bowl was an accurate representation of our season: We played the first half like a team that has won six games, the second half we played like a team that has lost six games. Combination of poor plays get away from us, bad calls go against us and Kansas getting into rhythm with their passing game kept them alive when they should have been crushed by the fourth quarter. Transfer portal hit us hard, I was pretty concerned we would be too distracted and lightly armed to perform well. Just stoked that that the winning side of our split personality prevailed!

Yep, although inconsistent, Arkansas can be a great team at times.  What a game!

Congratulations on the win, Shotgun!  :aok

On a different topic, our holiday meal featured your honey (glaze on main dish was thanks to you).  We use it on special occasions, and my wife and I drink a toast to Shotgunneeley.  :aok

I heard about Wisconsin under Fickell ended up losing their game I think 37-7, and UC lost to Louisville. Although I know you guys do not do NFL, I am keeping more of an eye on the Bengals, because it maybe this week we could take the AFC North, or next week against Baltimore.

Thank you Brooke, I thought it was from a game before. My apologies. I don't keep an eye on college sports much anymore, due to whenever a good head coach comes here and we pull something awesome, and then leaves I don't keep track of college sports much after that.

Great end to a great season. Shame we didn't play for a title game tonight, but that time is coming. Future is bright on Rocky Top.

As college buy their players going forward,  it won't be the same game imo

Free college ed and superstar campus status does not cut it anymore

It's got to be tough being a stepping stone program.

Just a few examples:
Utah - Meyer
MSU - Saban
Duke - Spurrier
WVU - Bowden

The current NIL is definitely not what was sold to us in the beginning, but the current transfer rules are a major problem also and basically equate to free agency.  Things will need to change or the sport will die.  I know no one who likes the current format.

Great end to a great season. Shame we didn't play for a title game tonight, but that time is coming. Future is bright on Rocky Top.

My wife and I had pals over for the game.  Beforehand, we got orange chicken.  Then for the game, we had orange floats, Cheetos and Doritos (for being orange), and Florida oranges.

It was a glorious game, and against Clemson, too.  :aok

I was surprised by how great the defense looked.

Way to go, Vols!  :aok
