Anyone Else Using "Squad" Text?
« on: September 06, 2022, 04:56:15 PM »
Recently Death From Above has started using squad text as a way to let members know when they in the main arena.  This has really worked out well.  I get a text telling me 4 DFA are online and that motivates me to sign on - and often by the time I get online there are often more members, who got the same text, who have logged in.  I assume other squads do this but figured it's worth passing along.

Not a game feature.  Just using a group text list of squad members.

Poor wording - my bad and guess you cannot edit your posts soooo  :bhead

BUT getting our squad members phone #'s and setting up a group text has worked out well.

We used that when we got together in DC in 2016 for our first ‘squad gathering’ and again when we met in Dayton to see the Memphis Belle go on display in 2018.
Don’t really use it for squad nights to let others know we’re going online.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I used to have the Discord widget on my forum that showed when people were on.  I think it would be really neat if AH had a similar widget that people could use to paste into any website, or maybe would appear on your phone to show when you're squaddies were on.

Text is a good idea though. Simple and effective
