I would invariably lose the extra mag in a motel or something. The only reason I haven't lost the gun is I hook my truck keys thru the belt clip each night

Winter XD 45, Summer SW 9 mostly. May carry some other depending on how I am dressed. Really like the Hellcat. Will be getting on soon.

Going 92f later this year.  I haven't actively fired weapons in 30 years so, currently, I do not carry as I don't trust myself to put a round where I want instead of grandma or little Suzy.  I'm going to do some range time then pay a buddy of mine for a weekend of combat training (that's what he does for a living.  Firearm, hand to hand, hand vs knife, etc) and get what I call 'current' which means to me being able to fire in a situation where there are distractions but still but the round where you want.  Until the day I'm comfortable that I can do so I'll just use my brain, situational awareness, and anything I can throw at a miscreant.  That's worked for me for 30 years but I'm getting old LOL

I have a XD .45 with light rail attachment for home defense, but that thing is like carrying a bazooka. 

If I can't kill it with 10 rounds of 9mm, I'm running from it.

yes. My friends at FW had recommended that one a lot.

A few months ago I woke up at 3am to a man trying to open my bedroom door. Thought I was someone names Amy and he was a nut job. He showed up again a couple weeks later. So that scared me.

I have a Mossberg 500 "quick change". Can swap the barrel, stock, grip, without tools. Will come in handy when I need to switch between birds and zombies in the field.
