But would your GO that far? I'd think you'd turn around and fall back toward the center at some point. Kinda like a REALLY, REALLY long bungee cord

You'd be toasted and roasted and utterly well done before even getting to the center.

No, but I've read a couple of documentary books about it, written by the great scientist Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Well it's probably safe to guess that Earth's rotation is not taken into account for this, otherwise that is exactly what would happen.  Earth spins a lot faster than most realize.

You would be fried to a crisp. Lol.

It was just the other day I was looking up the deepest Wells ever dug on earth. The Soviets dug the deepest well or board the deepest well whatever you call it. It was about 12 miles deep and it took them several years. The United States had one that went about 8 miles.

The Soviet one had to stop when it hit some kind of molten sulfur or something like that. But it gets super hot when you start getting down a few thousand feet.

So nobody's really gotten past the Earth's crust I don't believe. Or the mantle or whatever it's called.

when you reach the middle, does gravity pull you from all directions? Maybe you just stay in the middle. A charred little ball.
