That entire match was crazy. No way there should not have been a red for the tackle (yellow) and boot (yellow). Messi was an absolute toddler the entire match and post-match. I love Emi Martinez and miss him at my beloved Arsenal, but his antics were too much as well.

Hated to see the Dutch go out in that fashion, but man it was entertaining for the neutrals.

France-England was good, too. I was pleasantly surprised to see Kane blast it over the crossbar with a chance to equalize. Part of me wanted to see England do well, my boy Saka played lights out the entire tournament. Ramsdale should have been in goal despite Pickford keeping Everton up for now. For me, a biased Gooner, Ramsdale is in better form but certainly has his flaws. I think none of them are keeping Giroud out of the back of the net in that match. Am I allowed to miss the super slow Frenchman? :sad

Heading into the semis, I expect a France-Argentina final, again. Although, I am hoping for Croatia-Morocco. I am also starting to miss the Premier League, now that my country is out.

Eagler, do you mean Argentina? It is one of, if not the, most simple game in the world. Get the ball in the net and don't use your hands to do it. But, it is certainly not popular here in the States, so there is some forgiveness.

I was really surprised about Portugal losing. Watching the match, it seems like Portugal was on offense the majority of the time. Just amazing defense by Morrocco the whole match.

Morocco were un-lucky played some good stuff at times.

France seem beatable but keep winning so maybe they are destined to be champions again.   Mbappe is just   :bolt:

Hope Argentina can keep their heads and play with respect.

I thought the final game there was a really fun nailbiter. Argentina almost stepped on their own foot twice there but I thought they were the better team for sure. The penalties brought a lot of suspense which was a good finisher for the world cup and sport if you ask me.

The rude gestures by the goalie after receiving his award was uncomfortable and unneeded as we had to then explain that to our 7 and 10 year old grandkids
