Back after a few years - coupla questions

First up, thx for any help. Getting myself set back up to play again. I had almost forgotten how much fun this game can be. At any rate, 2 questions:
What is the dot command to get fps displayed? and, Is there a way to make the message window smaller? I've looked around and haven't found the answers - easy money is on me not looking in the right places, but help would be appreciated.

With out going and looking

CTRL I  for fps/video ram being used

Hold your mouse cursor at the edge of the text buffer window...you will be able to size it like you want

~ if I remember correctly maximizes minimizes the text buffer from full screen to like  3 to 4 lines

To resize the text window with the mouse, the Clipboard must be showing.  Use 'ESC' to bring it up.  Then the text window should have thick borders, and you can resize it with the mouse.  Click and drag, I think...

To add you can make more tabs and you can right-click om the box to change the font size.

I believe alt or ctrl + i will give you a box with fps. But for me it is stuck on 59. My Nvidia overlay gives my true fps.
