P-38J 55thFG 38thFS "Journey's End" Maj Joseph Myers

P-38J 42-67685 CG-O"Journey's End". Flown by Maj Joseph Myers, Jr. 55th FG, 38th FS.  Myers served as a pilot with the 55th Fighter Group and with the 78th Fighter Group.  He also served in Korea and Vietnam. Retired from USAF in October 1970.

Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

Thanks guys.   I noticed a few things I need to fix but I'll submit soon.

I keep looking back at that head-on shot.  Quite a perspective, and really shows off the quality of AH's 3D model of the Lightning.  The P-38 is an imposing aircraft, and head on, looking right into those gun barrels, is a little intimidating...
