January 26th through March 15. Only 8 parts.

Great, thanks!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

This one makes great desktop background:

Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Excited to see it, but did I see a 332nd red-tailed P-51D flying escort in that trailer?  I thought it was going to be about the 8th AF's (100th BG in particular) bombing campaign against Germany.

I'm really hoping for a high standard of historical accuracy in this production.

Not at my desk right now, but after watching the teaser.(Which was amazing). It could be a couple things.

- 332nd pilot Prisoner of War in the camp. I've read some of the story follows some men who were captured. The footage of P-51 could be a flashback of the pilot.

- It could be part of a shuttle mission the 100th flew to Italy from England/Russia.

Hate to rivet count the teaser, but maybe that's what we're seeing.

Upon reexamination of the teaser, there is a scene where the black pilot appears to be enjoying a drink or good times and above his head is a sign that says 99th FS - So my bet is that the 100th BG meet the 332nd in Italy on a shuttle mission and perhaps they celebrate a successful mission at the barracks?

There is also this scene... Tunisia? I guess it could be stateside training too.

I don't know.

I'm not going to sweat it.

As I have not seen an accurate ww2 airwar movie come out of Hollywood maybe ever, not holding my breath on this one..

It's great to hope I guess

My guess it'll have a social justice message or two thrown in for our education..like the majority of what they call entertainment today.

I'm not going to sweat it.

This is how I treat all movies and video games unless it is meant to be an educational documentary.  As long as there are not super obvious and it does the story justice...I'm fine with it.  We have to understand that all of us here are 1%ers lol.  No one else will notice.

Also, scenario planners - how about a Big Week-type scenario some time after the final episode airs?

Spikes started the discussion of that.

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Usual time for next scenario would be February-ish timeframe.

Hopefully, it's not a lot of "WE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON THIS CGI, AND BY GOLLY, WE'RE GONNA USE IT!" type stuff.  As cartoon pile-its we know instinctively the correct bank of a plane in any given turn, the correct distances between planes, and the correct perception of speed, ALL areas where Hollywood has consistently got it wrong.  Let alone historical inaccuracies of putting the wrong equipment from the wrong era/theater in the wrong hands.  BUT... there's a fine line between a compelling story and a historically accurate snorefest.

It's unfortunate that it will be a limited release. Apple TV?
