I think it was either Tallman or Mantz who said that was the most dangerous scene they'd ever filmed - because of the possibility that one of the B-25s might lose an engine during the takeoff.

That's quite a fun scene to watch.  I remember seeing a story about it when I was too young to realize what I was seeing.
