Hughes was one of the good ones. Surprised this plane didn't amount to much. Dude was brave as hell. If anyone was going down in one of his planes during training, it was him. Really a shame he wasn't able to get into the new age of jet flight, but I think he loved those prop engines. Was always curious what really had him so creeped out that he didn't want to leave his house.

The Aviator is one of my favorite movies. I think Leonardo did a great job playing him.

Yep, interesting guy for sure.  I do think the Aviator was well done.

Looking at any plane, I always wonder how it would do in AH.  The XF-11, with those huge engines, huge span wing, full-span flaps, and spoilers, I wonder if it would be a great dogfighter in AH.

The wing reminds me of a U-2. Span is almost the same.

It might have a place at high alts.  Hard to say for sure.
