Excited for Combat Challenge tonight
« on: May 26, 2023, 05:50:11 PM »
A huge furball with balanced plane sets and 2 hours of intense air combat madness. Gonna be a freaking blast tonight. So stoked! Definitely worth it to check out if you are into fighter combat action.  :airplane: :joystick:

Was actually pretty cool. Don't really care for the C202, but <shrug> Nice tight furballs.

I have several things working against me. Hate my stick, way too much over-steering. Haven’t flown enough to accomplished in many planes,  better AC against me. Was kinda stuck with the c202.

Would like to see your films. Doesn’t matter good fight or not. I can go fixed mode. Was looking to make a furball vid. That even has nice tight furballs I can fit on screen.

I can help you make your own too. We need to get you kick started doing that.

What stick do you have? Certainly takes a few months to get use to it. It took me a while with my old X52 because it was so lose.

The C202 is a very tough plane to be successful in. It's a birdcage and the guns are very poor. It turns on a dime, bit that also makes for easy pickins in the furball. The 205 is a better option, is faster than the spit9s and holds E for better BnZ capabilities. The 2 20mm 500 cannons are way better than the 202s pea shooters.

The G2 is better than both of them IMO and has the option for 3 20mm cannons so you can down planes quicker and avoid getting jumped chasing a plane too long, which can happen with only 1 20mm cannon.

Of course I messed up my stream on twitch thinking it was going to auto save the stream for me. It didn't unfortunately because I can't find it. That being said, I did take AH film so I'll be going thru those soon and will post the good ones.

TBH, I really need to watch some tutorials on youtube because I have no freaking clue how Twitch and OBS works. It's all extremely confusing to me haha.

I have and old loose x52. Makes me crazy. It was better before sitting stored for 10-14 yrs. I could try electrical cleaning spray and nee lube. But closer to the center is too loose. Could be the spring lost tension. I waste a lot of ammo.  No matter, eventually I’ll replace it with thrustmaster.

In the meantime if you have access to a washer that fits between the spring and the bottom of the handgrip on an X52, it will tighten it up significantly.  I used that for a while toward the end of mine's life.

If you need someone over 40 to explain it let me know.

Good idea. I did experiment with it wedging things under it and it tightened up a little. But did not stay in. The washer is prolly the way to go. Its a temporary fix until I get a new one.
