I liked Idiocracy, but one thing bothered me about it.

It seems as if it were inspired by a story titled "The Marching Morons," by Kornbluth (written in 1951).

But (as far as I can tell) the movie doesn't put in any homages to the short story.

Evolution.  But what I've really been missing is all the old master cheese theater from the 80's and early 90's.  Stuff like Toxic Avenger, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and the Critters series.  I know I'd laugh at how bad they all are now, but nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
