Printable MA Maps
« on: May 31, 2023, 11:15:11 AM »
Is there a file accessible to download all the current MA Maps? I want to create a 3 ring binder with all the current MA maps. It would be nice to be able to print the entire map right from the Clip Board map, or at least download it. :aok

That's easy: Simply go to the game folder>Maps and there you have them. There's also maps of them made by 1Ijac and some other people, you can substitute the original ones with them.

Instead of printing on paper you can even create a multi-page PDF file of the strat maps and use your cell phone or tablet for scrolling through them. Back in the day I did that and sent the PDF to be downloaded to the author but I guess the links may not work any longer as that was years before Covid.

@JimmyD3, there's been talk about that and someone may have done something but I've got no clue how. At least the Terrain Editor doesn't seem to want to open any files from the ah3terr folder. There's a tedious workaround: Expand the clipboard map to max, then expand the map so that it only shows 3x3 or even 2x2 squares. Take a screenshot of each area and connect them with an image editor - even Paint will do.

I have a scroll through file of the strats, vehicle and airbases that you can put on a cell phone, laptop or tablet that can be used next to your game computer.  I also have printable maps of everything that can be altered to fit in the clipboard maps.  If you are interested in these, PM me your e-mail address and I will send them to you.

What I was looking to do was, add town layout indicators for each base, add layout indicators for the vbases as well. I try to standardize the layouts on my maps based on the Base number, odd #'s laid out NW to SE, even #'s SW to NE. I could also use them for quick reference, or planning a mission with my squad.

Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

Im not sure, but wasnt it "Oboe" that posted a picture of each of the maps in rotation? I cant find the thread right now, but I thought it was him. Someone posted about one of the new maps and another player asked if any one had a picture, and they were all posted.

I have a folder with them, but I quit the game and can't remember which hard drive they're on.  If I find them I'll get them to you.

Traveling currently so can’t provide more but I’ll try to creat a thread with up to date maps when I get back.  I only have a few done; currently working on BlackSea

Sorry to hear you have quit the game, Jinx. I had noticed you weren't around lately, hope to see you back in the air some day. You have always been a much respected friend and foe.

 :salute till we meet again.
