There is a squad called "Cutthroats", established 1996, but not sure if that's the one you're referring to.

Oboe, the original Gunfighters had no connection to the Gunfighters formed in Bland in 1990-91.  I do not know if that is the squadron you are tracking, it was "Scav's" squad of we go diving down fame.

Also the DFA were formed in 1990-91 in Aland.  Again I do not know if that squad is the DFA you are tracking, but it was quite the famous and popular squadron.

Oboe, JG11 was formed in January 2006.  It is on their AH wiki page.  I did that page way back and got the info from Stampf.

https://www.hitechcreations.com/wiki/index.php/JG11_Sonderstaffel

You can also get info on the 80th here as well..

https://www.hitechcreations.com/wiki/index.php/80th_FS_%22Headhunters%22

Check out the wiki several squads listed might find some info..

Thanks for the info guys.   Will always try to keep this doc correct.

Turt21, the "Borg" haven't come up.  I don't recall them, and they are not listed in the current active squads page.  Could be they came and went between the time I originally made the chart and now?   I've been in and out of the game a couple of times since then...

Fencer, thank you - I'll update the JG 11 start date.  I also like the squad emblem in that link better, so I'll use that one.

I believe Hitech was one of the original Gunfighters?   Not sure, and I found no website for them.  But I think it was a very early squad that had a number of handles now revered in the the community.  Pretty sure there was a BB thread about this chart when it was first produced, and I *think* that is where I got the original info.  I think I remember creating that logo with Yosemite Sam for the chart way back then.    Maybe Arlo knows more about them and can fill us in.   My intent was to track the lineage of current squads in AH as far back as I could.   I think a few go back to the America Online days and the WWI flight sim, but I can't recall its name...

I got a 1998 start date for the DFA from their website: http://dfa-squad.org/DFA_info.htm.

How about the ACCS? I don't know if they made it over from AW but thought they did. They came to mind and I don't see them on the chart. It's been a while!

Doesn't appear in the squads page - what's the full squad name?  I probably should recognize it, but it's not clicking...

Yes, Hitech was one of the original Gunfighters back in the early days of AW.  So were a lot of other famous people.  The squadron didn't initially carry over to AH.  Grits resurrected it as an AvA (or, more accurately, a Combat Theater) squad sometime after 2001.  I wish I had saved his very comprehensive write-up about the squad's history...but I didn't.  Fork may be able to add to this.

Ah, no I don't think I've ever heard of them.  Not listed in the currently active squad page, but they may have been at one time.

Anyone remember the 444th Mafia or something like that?   They had a cool logo.  Still looking for the logo with a Walt-Disney style wolf, licking his chops with knife and fork in hand - I want to say squad name was "Elite Aces + 1 Mexican"...

I was co of the 444th Air Mafia when we made the switch over to AH. Taz, then Mugs took over the squad for a number of years untill it was disbanded. I think I still have the whole squad web site on my computer
