This skins is a replacement for TrueKill's SG 2 190F-8, which in reality was an A-8. I will eventually make an A-8 in that scheme.
This 109F-8 was operated by Stab. I/SG 2 in the winter of 19444-45. Pilot unknown. At this time, SG 2 was seeing heavy action in the area of Budapest, Hungary. It was one of two German attack units with 190F-8's in the area, making the 190F-8 the single most numerous German aircraft fighting in Hungary that winter.
This aircraft has long been depicted in artwork as having a red painted cowl ring and number, but that has been proven to be false. Because it was used by the I/Sg 2 command staff, it's color would be blue. Winter camouflage of white squiggles was painted over the standard gray camouflage. Hungarian theater markings in yellow were applied to the lower cowl, lower left wing, and around the tail.
