Bf 110 of 1./Erprobungsgruppe 210, the unit that combat tested the Bf 110 as a fighter-bomber. Beginning in 1940, this unit conducted Jabo raids against British targets. Even after the other Bf 110 units were pulled from the Channel front in the later stages of the Battle of Britain, Erprobungsgruppe 210 continued their raids. Eventually, the unit would be expanded to two Gruppen by absorbing III/ZG 76 and redesignated Schnellkampfgeschwader 210 in late April 1941.
