He's gonna need to fly it first. Not released yet. Of course he may be an insider and adviser.

Pfffttt.  This is the internet, my dude.  I think we should form our opinions here and now!

Outwardly, very accurate cockpit layout and exterior.  The continuous vibration depicted is unrealistic, especially the vertical stabilizer.  The Phantom was built like a brick s**thouse.   So, the vibration is only accurate during heavy maneuvering (G load).  Then, the vibration was there.  During preflight the Rhino was famous for not budging a bit when bumped into.  The aux air doors on the belly, frequently caught the unaware crew chief or pilot/wso by suprise when inadvertently turning around during the duck walk preflight, resulting the famous “Phantom Bite”.  Then, there were TERs and MERs that were common noggin impact points.  In any case, the Phantom NEVER budged at all.

Then, the “E” model with the nose gun, 640 rounds of 20 mm, firing rate of 6,000 rounds per minute, provided 3 two seconds bursts.  What a rush that was!

I think they are showcasing the vibrations and twistyness of the airframe under duress. Most pc sims do neither. Heatblur is doing the A-6 also. I'll preorder both and not be disappointed.

Spending time in the Heatblur F-14 gave me a sense of familiarity with the airplane. How close that was to reality I know I don't know but it was comfortable.

This is satisfying but takes more than a little practice.

All the wiggling was a little surprising.  Maybe the vibration and wiggling was because in that shot they were burning in a high speed at NOE.  Could ground turbulence beating them up shake it like that?

In any case, you should do the trial.  I think everyone here would be interested in your honest evaluation base on your first hand experience.

Given past pre-order cycles, it might not be available until end of year.  Starting pre-orders is often around 2-3 months before early access release.

Having only flown private civil aviation airplanes my real world experience in flying is obviously very limited. My brother flew helicopters in the Army though including the OH-58 as a scout and the Cobra and A model Apache. He has noted some shortcomings in the DCS Huey and Apache modeling but is impressed enough with the attention to detail to continue enjoying the AH-64D.

What's so hard about that?  You just put the thing in the thing.   ;)
