The Ultimate Sound Pack: looks like Tuesday
« on: March 19, 2001, 12:51:00 AM »
I plan on releasing this thing on Tuesday provided the FTP server decides to stay up for more than an hour. I pulled the readme file off my site to add a hit counter. I have a bandiwdth limit pre-set that I can not exceed due to server costs. In short: I don't pay for it so I'm going to take it easy on that person's wallet. Hell I might get a burr up my bellybutton and release it today!

Awesome sounds! <S> to Flakbait & all who contributed.

Flak, have you considered sending an email to HTC & see if they'll host em on their site?

These deserve a link right next to wabbits!

Stupid question...

Why no throttle control???
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Nefarious you're not making sense. Throttle control is a function of your stick, not my sounds. Many of the engine run sounds are very quiet at idle, so try turning up your volume. Also see my reply to your post in General.

I tried to assign my throttle to my "slider" on MS sidewinder...

right now I have no throttle control...

Its either engine off or engine on...

+/- keys are not reponding nor is my "slider"

I tried to reassign them to no avail...

I will try again tonight

and one more question, sometimes when i start an airplane the game freezes, I found an easy way to fix this though just reinstall the USP (ultimate Sound Pack) and the it works fine...

Could someone host the files (Ultimate2 at least=) ) on a different server?
Ultimate1 was quick, but 2 is taking hours, after trying at three different times of the day...

Thank you in advance

Blame HTC, it's on their server. Ultimate1 is just under 10 megs, while Ultimate2 is a little over 12 megs. If you're riding a typical 33.6k connect, it'll take you about an hour for each file.

Now I have a problem. I have been flying the Corsair for a few hours in HS with the sound up (for the immersion factor). Now I can't hear a danged thing. No wonder they didn't bother with good radios in those beasts, they wouldn't have been able to hear it anyway.

Thanks and a BIG <S> to Flakbait. They add a LOT to AH.
